The Cali76 FET is a high-end, all-analog compressor inspired by the legendary UREI 1176 studio compressor. It uses extremely fast FET compression, delivering a very dynamic, punchy, and relatively transparent sound, ranging from simple transient control to heavy compression with plenty of sustain. It features comprehensive controls: IN, OUT, RATIO, ATTACK, RELEASE, and DRY for blending the compressed and uncompressed signals and achieving parallel compression. The 10-LED meter provides precise visualization of the gain reduction. The current version, released in 2024, is more compact than previous Cali76 models, operates at 9V with an internal 24V boost for ample headroom, and even accepts line-level signals. Made in England, it's an excellent choice for guitar, bass, funk, country, slide, or simply for adding sustain and body to a clean tone.
