The 66s are handcrafted French single-coil pickups inspired by the 1966 Fender Stratocaster, a transitional period where Strats retained their vintage tone while gaining a bit more attack and definition. Hand-wound with materials conforming to period specifications (Plain Enamel "Vintage Formula" wire and Alnico V magnets), they deliver a clear, precise, and dynamic sound, with firm bass, slightly scooped mids, and bright but never harsh highs. They offer the famous "quack" in the middle positions (2 and 4), excellent responsiveness to playing nuances, and a typically vintage output level, ideal for blues, classic rock, funk, pop, or Hendrix-esque tones.
