The JCM800 is a pedal designed to recreate the character of the famous JCM800, with a typical 80s rock/metal sound: prominent mids, a crisp attack, fairly aggressive gain, and good dynamics. It allows you to go from a fairly open crunch to a rich, saturated distortion, with simple controls for quickly shaping your tone. It's a particularly interesting pedal for achieving a Marshall-like sound in front of a clean amp.
