MXR CSP039 Duke Of Tone

The Duke of Tone is an overdrive pedal developed by MXR in collaboration with Analog Man, directly inspired by the Prince of Tone/King of Tone. Released in 2022, it features the Prince of Tone circuitry in a more accessible, mass-produced MXR format, while utilizing through-hole components for the audio section. It offers three modes: Boost, Overdrive, and Distortion, with Volume, Tone, and Drive controls. The Boost mode delivers a very open and dynamic sound, the Overdrive produces a warm, lightly compressed crunch that is very responsive to attack, while the Distortion mode adds more gain and compression. It's an excellent pedal for blues, rock, classic rock, and fusion tones, particularly with a Stratocaster, Telecaster, or Les Paul. It retains much of the guitar and amp's character, rather than producing a highly colored, Tube Screamer-style distortion.
