Maxon OD-9 Blackdrive

The OD-9 Blackdrive is a special, limited-edition version of the famous OD-9, itself derived from the iconic Tube Screamer. It retains the classic JRC4558D-based circuit but incorporates carefully selected components to deliver more gain, a richer harmonic tone, and improved dynamic response. The voicing is slightly more aggressive and modern than the standard OD-9, while maintaining the clarity and midrange character typical of this type of overdrive. It's a highly regarded pedal for boosting a tube amp or layering with other overdrives. Made in Japan, it's reliable and robust.
