Steinberger GL4T Black 1994

About this instrument

The GL-4T is an American headless electric guitar launched in 1986, which became an icon of 1980s futuristic design. Its one-piece construction from a graphite and carbon fiber composite material gives it excellent stability and a very precise attack. Its key feature is its TransTrem vibrato system, which allows for simultaneous changes in string height while maintaining the tuning and intervals—a particularly interesting innovation for pitch effects and tuning changes while playing. This particular model is equipped with three active EMG pickups in an HSS configuration: two single-coil SA pickups and an 85 humbucker at the bridge, as well as individual pickup selector switches and volume and tone controls. It has a 25.5-inch scale length, 24 frets, and a composite fingerboard. Very compact, lightweight (3.05 kg), and extremely stable, it offers a precise, dynamic sound, particularly well-suited to rock, metal, and experimental music. Sold with a gig bag and documentation.
