Roland GK-3

About this instrument

The GK-3 is a microphone designed to transform a classic electric guitar into a synth controller. It individually captures the vibrations of each of the six strings to transmit playing information to compatible devices such as the Roland GR-20, GR-55, or VG-99. This allows you to obtain piano, string, brass, organ, bass, or synthesizer sounds directly from your guitar. The GK-3 stands out for its drill-free installation, its adjustable curvature to accommodate different bridges and string spacings, and its control box which includes a volume control, selectors, and a 13-pin connection cable. It also features a jack input for receiving the signal from the guitar's traditional pickups. Relatively discreet and lightweight, it's an essential accessory for guitarists looking to explore the possibilities of the guitar synth, especially when used with the GR-20.
